Repairs for Working Burbank Players

Fast when you need it, careful every time.

Burbank is full of players who need their instruments working on a schedule, and plenty of them bring their guitars to Grayson's Tune Town in Montrose, fifteen to twenty minutes away. We have been fixing guitars on Honolulu Avenue since 1953, and every job is done in-house by our own technicians.

If you have a session or a show coming up, a $50 rush moves setups, electronics and other non-structural work to the front of the line, and a rushed setup typically takes 2 to 3 days. Every setup includes a fret crown and light fret level, and every price is published up front.

No appointment needed. See the full price list on our repair page, then bring it in.

No. Bring your instrument in during store hours, Monday through Friday 10 to 7 and Saturday 9 to 5. We will look it over and give you a quote before any work starts.

What is included in a setup?

Along with the restring, action adjustment and intonation, we crown and lightly level the frets on every guitar that comes in for a setup, something many shops skip or charge much more for. We also clean and hydrate the fingerboard, adjust the nut slots and saddle, tighten the hardware, and do whatever else the guitar needs to play as well as it can.

How long does a setup take?

Setups typically run 1.5 to 2 weeks depending on the season. With the $50 rush, a setup typically takes 2 to 3 days. Restrings and quick adjustments are usually same or next day.

What instruments do you work on?

Electric and acoustic guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles and pedalboards, vintage and modern.

Are parts included in the price?

No. Our prices are for labor. Pickups, tuners and other parts are extra, and we will tell you the total before we start. The full price list is on our repair page.
