Meet Our Drum Teachers
Charlie is a Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist with a passion for percussion, specializing in drum set and drumline instruction. With roots in marching percussion and a degree in Popular Music Performance from USC Thornton, he brings both technical depth and creative flair to his teaching.
He excels at helping students transform traditional rudiments into expressive, high energy drum set performances. Charlie's versatile, student centered approach, shaped by years on stage and in the classroom, makes him a natural mentor for drummers of all ages.
David grew up drumming in Santa Barbara before making his way to Los Angeles to study at USC's Thornton School of Music, where he earned a B.M. in Popular Music Performance.
With a background that spans classic rock, jazz, jam bands, pop, and drumline, David brings a wide musical vocabulary to every project. He is an in demand performer and collaborator in the LA music scene, regularly playing with local artists both on stage and in the studio.
Aaron is a multi-instrumentalist from New York City who graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Music degree in Popular Music. He has been playing drums since the age of two, and he also plays guitar, writes songs, and produces.
Aaron works professionally as a gigging and touring drummer as well as a session musician. He teaches drum lessons from beginner through advanced, and is well versed in rock and roll, pop, blues, jazz, and fusion.

Frequently Asked Questions
No! We have drum sets available at the studio for your lessons. However, having a practice pad or kit at home is recommended for practicing between lessons.
Most children can start drum lessons around age 5-6. Younger students often begin with basic rhythm exercises and a practice pad before moving to the full kit. We're happy to assess your child's readiness.
We offer three lesson options: 30 minutes ($45), 45 minutes ($68), or 60 minutes ($90). No registration fees. Choose the duration that best fits your goals.
Yes! Charlie and David both have drumline experience. Whether you are preparing for a drumline audition or looking to refine your rudimental technique, we can help.
A practice pad and sticks are a great start and very affordable. As you progress, an electronic drum kit or acoustic set at home will accelerate your growth. Your teacher can recommend the best option for your situation and budget.
