Gibson Dove Original - Vintage Cherry Sunburst

The Gibson Dove Original is a faithful recreation of Gibson's iconic square-shouldered acoustic introduced in the early 1960s. It features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid flame maple back and sides, delivering a crisp, articulate voice with exceptional projection, balanced warmth, and the distinctive clarity that has made the Dove a favorite for decades. The long 25.5" scale length provides added snap, definition, and headroom while traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and dynamic response.

The mahogany neck features a Rounded profile and is fitted with a bound rosewood fingerboard featuring mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, a bone nut, and 20 standard frets. Classic Dove appointments include multi-ply binding, nickel Grover Keystone tuners, a Dove truss rod cover, Tusq bridge pins, and the signature engraved pickguard featuring a hand-painted mother-of-pearl dove.

For stage and studio use, the Dove Original is equipped with LR Baggs VTC electronics, featuring an under-saddle pickup with discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls. Each guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit.
