Kevin Tiernan

Kevin is a highly accomplished guitarist and educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Studio Guitar Performance from USC’s renowned Thornton School of Music. Throughout his career, Kevin has performed in numerous musical theater productions alongside Grammy and Tony Award–winning musicians, bringing both technical mastery and expressive depth to every performance. His extensive experience on stage and in the classroom makes him a versatile and inspiring teacher for students of all levels.

Grethel Bonilla

Grethel Bonilla is a dedicated guitarist, singer-songwriter, and music educator who studied at Musicians Institute. With over a decade of teaching experience, she brings the same passion to the classroom that she brings to the stage as a touring and live performance artist. Grethel tailors each lesson to match her students' pace and personal goals—turning challenges into breakthroughs while keeping the learning process fun, engaging, and empowering.

Jarret Myers

Jarret Myers holds a Doctorate in Studio Guitar from USC’s Thornton School of Music. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas and his Master’s in Jazz Performance from UNLV, where he also served as an adjunct professor of jazz guitar. With over a decade of professional experience performing alongside internationally recognized production shows and vocalists, Jarret brings both depth and versatility to his playing. Despite his impressive performance resume, his greatest passion lies in teaching—guiding students of all ages to develop their skills, confidence, and love for music.

David Colón

California State University Northridge Jazz Studies
David Colón is a Los Angeles–based guitarist, producer, and educator with over a decade of professional experience. A graduate of the Jazz Studies program at California State University, Northridge, David earned multiple performance awards for his work with combo and big band ensembles. His playing spans a wide range of genres—including jazz, funk, rock, classical, and indie—bringing a well-rounded and creative perspective to both performance and teaching. David focuses on building strong technique and music theory foundations while keeping lessons engaging, supportive, and fun.

Tieg Johnson

Tieg Johnson is a seasoned guitarist and music educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. A graduate of Musicians Institute with honors, Tieg has built a diverse career in the music industry—recording for films, national TV commercials, and touring across the U.S. and Canada with major label artists. His work has also been featured in music videos and on Nickelodeon. Tieg brings real-world experience and a passion for teaching to every lesson, helping students grow their skills while staying inspired and creative.

Andy Brems

Andy is a versatile guitarist, composer, and educator based in Southern California. A graduate of USC’s Thornton School of Music, he studied jazz, rock, Latin, and pop performance, along with music education and composition. Andy is passionate about playing, teaching, and writing across a wide range of musical styles. He currently teaches a beginner pop/rock guitar course at USC and regularly performs and records at venues throughout the region. His well-rounded musicianship and approachable teaching style make him a favorite among students and collaborators alike.

Emilio Moyao

Emilio is a Los Angeles–based multi-instrumentalist with a passion for teaching, composing, and performing. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance & Composition from the California Institute of the Arts, where his love for music education first took root—tutoring classmates and mentoring younger musicians. Today, Emilio continues to share that passion through teaching while also writing, producing, and performing original music with his band, Triangle Fire. His well-rounded approach inspires students to grow creatively, technically, and confidently.

Evan Ziegenmeyer

Whether on stage or in the classroom, Evan brings creativity, professionalism, and a genuine love for music to everything he does.
