What is Project Rockband?

Welcome to Project Rockband — an electrifying MULTI-week performance program where private lesson students come together to form real bands, rehearse real songs, and play real shows.

Performance Focused

Students build essential live music skills — from timing and dynamics to stage presence and confidence — by practicing real songs in a real band environment.

Collaboration

Project Rockband is designed for current Grayson's students who want to take their playing to the next level by collaborating with other musicians. This is not a class where you learn the songs — it's a space to practice performing as a group and experience the thrill of being in a band.

Independence

Students are expected to learn the songs during their private lessons or at home, so they can come prepared to each session.

How it Works

🗓️ Class Details

  • $60 per student, per class

  • 1-hour class, once per week

  • 6-8 week program

  • Small band groups (3–5 players)

  • Final Week = Live Showcase at Grayson’s — friends and family welcome!

🎶 How it Works

  1. Students will be grouped into bands based on age, instrument, and experience.

  2. Bands will select from a curated song list, then agree on which track(s) to learn.

  3. Each week focuses on live performance skills — timing, dynamics, cues, and confidence.

  4. Project Rockband culminates in a casual live show right here at Grayson's!

Project Rockband is only open to currently enrolled private lesson students at Grayson’s.

🧑‍🎤 Is My Child Ready?

Project Rockband is ideal for:

  • Students with at least 6 months of private lessons

  • Guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists, or keyboard players

  • Kids and teens who love the idea of jamming with others and getting stage time

Not sure if your child is ready? Ask their instructor or reach out — we’re happy to guide you.

Spaces are limited and bands will be finalized on a first-come, first-served basis.
