The Epiphone 1963 Firebird V Reissue with Maestro Vibrola is a faithful and affordable recreation of Gibson’s groundbreaking neck-through-body guitar, originally designed by legendary automotive designer Ray Dietrich. Launched in 1963, the Firebird introduced a radical shape and neck-through construction, becoming a favorite of iconic players such as Johnny Winter, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, and Phil Manzanera.

This Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson Custom" model features a 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck-through-body design with mahogany wings, delivering exceptional resonance and sustain. The SlimTaper™ Rounded C neck profile and softly rolled rosewood fretboard edges ensure comfort and playability. Vintage-style touches include mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, historically accurate side dots, Kluson "banjo-style" planetary tuners, and a Maestro Vibrola with an engraved Epiphone logo.

Under the hood, a pair of Gibson USA Firebird mini humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets are wired with CTS® pots and Mallory™ capacitors, delivering vintage Firebird tone. The setup is completed with an Epiphone ABR-1 bridge, Switchcraft components, and a custom hardshell case.
