The Marshall 1974X Handwired Combo is an 18-watt all-tube amplifier based on the original Marshall 1974 combo produced between 1966 and 1968. It features a handwired, hand-soldered valve circuit with an aluminium chassis and valve-driven tremolo circuit.
The amp uses three ECC83 preamp tubes, two EL84 power tubes, and an EZ81 rectifier tube. It is equipped with a single 12" Celestion G12M-20 Greenback speaker designed to recreate the worn-in response of vintage originals.
The 1974X features a two-channel layout with separate volume and tone controls and dedicated tremolo speed and sensitivity controls on channel one. It includes four inputs, dual speaker outputs, and a footswitch for tremolo operation.
