Strymon Canoga Vintage Silicon Fuzz

Canoga is a tweaked version of a vintage silicon FuzzFace style fuzz pedal based on one of Gregg’s original three fuzz designs. At higher settings it functions as a fuzz or distortion, and when the guitar’s volume is reduced it produces a wide range of tones suited for different styles of music.

The pedal features a simple control layout with one knob for Drive and one for Level. The interaction between the guitar and the pedal’s input, as well as the interaction with the amplifier, is an important part of its performance. It is designed to work effectively with an amplifier that already has some gain, similar to setups used by guitarists in the 1960s and 1970s.
