Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue Figured Top VOS - Lemon Burst

This Made 2 Measure Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue is finished in VOS Lemon Burst over a figured maple top and features historically accurate late-1950s construction throughout. Unlike a standard R8, this build specifies a matched Lemon Burst top with full cherry aniline dye beneath the VOS lacquer, giving the instrument a vintage-correct appearance and allowing the finish to age naturally over time.

The guitar is built with a mahogany neck carved to Gibson Custom's substantial 1958 Chunky D profile, measuring approximately .900" at the first fret and 1.000" at the twelfth fret. A one-piece rosewood fingerboard is fitted with Historic Jescar narrow-tall frets, aged cellulose trapezoid inlays, cream binding, tortoise shell side dots, and a nylon nut for an authentic late-'50s playing experience.

Electronics include a matched set of unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3 humbuckers with True Historic nickel covers, wired through the traditional Les Paul control layout. Additional vintage-correct appointments include Kluson Single Line tuners, True Historic gold top hat knobs, amber switch tip, nickel VOS hardware, and a Gibson Custom Vintage Reissue hardshell case with Certificate of Authenticity and Historic case candy.
