Biography: Araksia Nazlikian began her violin studies at the age of 7 in Yerevan Armenia.
After receiving her Bachelor of Music Degree in Romanos Melikian Music College, she emigrated to United States. While in Fresno she continued her studies in Fresno College then Fresno University where she made her debut solo recital and performed with the orchestra.
For the past 20 years she has lived in Los Angeles and has been an active freelancer with various orchestras such as the Fresno Philharmonic, The Monterey Symphony, Thousand Oak Philharmonic, and San Luis Obispo Opera. She has worked with many famous musicians, including Perlman, Zukerman, Ani and Aida Kafafyan, Zuill Bailey and Rostropovich. Araksia has been a recitalist for the MTAC Fundraising for several years. She continues to be part of the music life in the Los Angeles area both as an orchestra player and chamber musician. She has been teaching at Grayson’s for over 15 years.
