Nate Laguzza

Background:   Nate Laguzza is an American drummer based in Los Angeles, CA. He has appeared on every national commercial television network, including NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX, sidelined for Paramount Pictures’ “The Gambler,” and has toured internationally as one of the youngest drummers ever to work with living legend Engelbert Humperdinck. His drumming can be heard on KCRW, FX Networks “Fargo,” and is featured on upcoming recordings by Dave Wakeling/The English Beat and That Dog, both to be released 2017. Nate is known for his ability to play in many musical settings comfortably with strong dynamic control and mature musicianship.

Lessons: Nate believes in teaching drumming by focusing on the student’s own unique musical interests, while at the same time building universal drumming skills to facilitate a lifetime of enjoyment. It is his goal to build a strong musical foundation for the student so that they may continue to enjoy drumming forever, whether actively taking lessons or continuing on their own.

Education: Nate graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Instrumental Performance.  He has studied privately with Dave DiCenso, Ralph Peterson, Terri Lyne Carrington and Tony “Thunder” Smith, and has over 10 years of private teaching experience.
